NHL Goalscorer Props Today

I went through all 5 games on Sunday, October 25 and ranked every skater by PropFinder's Goalscorer Matchups score. It blends a player's own scoring form with how much the opposing defense and goalie give up, and every score below runs from 0 to 100, where 50 is league average.

Three skaters stand out for anytime goal bets today: Sam Reinhart in Chicago, Matt Boldy in Vancouver and Nathan MacKinnon in Nashville.

Sam Reinhart to score a goal (+174, Novig)

His 5.63 expected goals sit slightly above his actual total, so the finishing has lagged a touch and there is room for it to catch up. He skates 21:38 a night with nearly four minutes on the power play, which feeds a 95 form score.

Vancouver gives up plenty to right wingers: 9.83 scoring chances, 5.33 high-danger chances, 10 shots and 1.92 goals per game, which drives a 79 matchup score. Leevi Merilainen is expected in goal and has a respectable .917 save percentage over 7 games, so the case here is the defense in front of him. Novig lists Boldy at +133 against a +118 median across 10 books, a solid number for a shooter with this much volume.

The volume is still there at 4.36 shots per game and 0.91 individual high-danger chances per game, and he plays 21:00 a night with about four minutes on the power play. That workload and production produce a 95 form score.

Nashville allows centers 9 scoring chances, 4 high-danger chances, 7.1 shots and 1.0 goals per game, a 78 matchup score that is clearly above average. Justus Annunen is expected in net with a .806 save percentage, but that comes from just 1 game, so the sample is very small. Novig has MacKinnon at +104 while the median across 11 books is -105, so shopping for the best number matters on this one.
