Best MLB Home Run Props Today HR Picks for Friday, June 5
I went through all 15 games on June 5th to find the best home run matchups so you don't have to. Using Propfinder's data tools, I identified a combination of vulnerable pitchers, strong hitter splits, favorable weather, and ballpark factors. Below are my top three MLB home run props and best home run picks for today's slate.
Pick 1: Seiya Suzuki to hit a HR --- (+288, DraftKings)
Seiya Suzuki
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Robbie Ray (Giants), Wrigley Field, 2:20 PM EST
Seiya is at the top of my list for a few reasons. He has a great matchup against a pitcher who gives up a 2.49 HR/9 to righties, meaning every 9 innings he is projected to give up 2.49 home runs to right handed hitters. To add on, Ray throws his Four seamer 46% of the time, a pitch Seiya absolutely crushes. In his last 16 PA, Seiya has posted a 22.2% barrel rate with all of it being pulled barrel, which is the best type of barrel. Although there is a 50% chance of rain, if anything the forecasts project light to moderate rainfall which I typically avoid like the plague, but the wind blowing out at a whopping 18.3 MPH significantly reduces this fear.

Pick 2: Alec Burleson to hit a HR --- (+471, DraftKings)
Alec Burleson
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Brady Singer (Reds), Busch Stadium, 8:15 PM EST
Burleson matches up very well against a pitcher in Singer who has struggled to find his groove this season. Singer gives up a 3.00 HR/9 to lefties. Which is more than 3x the league average of 0.9. Alec should be able to take advantage of Singer's underwhelming 2026 campaign. He's shown in the past he is more than capable, hitting 3-for-7 against Singer including a Home Run and Double.
Pick 3: James Wood to hit a HR --- (+316, DraftKings)
James Wood
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Merrill Kelly (Diamondbacks), Chase Field, 9:40 PM EST
Wood rounds out the list, coming in a #3. Over his Junior year, Wood secured a 27.7% barrel, hitting 12 home runs and 23 near home runs, which were a home run in at least one other MLB park. Wood's matchup against Kelly heavily favors his swing, with Kelly's 2.17 HR/9 and 21.2% allowed barrel rate. Wood has shown this in the past, going 1-for-3 with a homer off Kelly.
