Best MLB Home Run Props Today HR Picks for Saturday, June 6
I went through all 15 games on June 6th to find the best home run matchups so you don't have to. Using Propfinder's data tools, I identified a combination of vulnerable pitchers, strong hitter splits, favorable weather, and ballpark factors. Below are my top three MLB home run props and best home run picks for today's slate.
Let's run back yesterday's perfect 3-0 sweep! 🧹🧹🧹
Pick 1: Juan Soto to hit a HR --- (+330, DraftKings)
Juan Soto
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Griffin Canning (Padres), Citi Field, 10:10 PM EST
Soto is #1 on my list for the June 6 slate for a multitude of reasons. Let's begin with his outstanding matchup. Canning allows a 3.24 HR/9 to left-handed batters which is more than 3x higher than the league average of ~0.9. His last three starts have been particularly home run friendly, allowing 5 home runs, a 20.7% barrel rate, & a .763 SLG throughout that stretch. To tack on, there is wind blowing out to right field at around 7 mph, which will further help Soto's chances.
So why Soto out of all the Mets left-handers? Against Canning's pitch mix, Soto pops off the charts. His elite 31.8% barrel, low K/whiff rates, and 6 home runs over his last 25 PA vs. righties leads the team. You can see more eye-popping stats in the screenshot below.
Pick 2: Corey Seager to hit a HR --- (+369, DraftKings)
Corey Seager
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Tanner Bibee (Guardians), Globe Life Field, 7:35 PM EST
Next up on my list is Corey Seager. Against Bibee's top two pitches (a Change-Up/Four-Seam combination), Seager is posting a 30% barrel along with a 16.7% pull barrel.
Seager's chances look good as it is, but the matchup makes it a top pick for me. Bibee gives up a 2.17 HR/9 to left-handed hitters, giving up 4 homers in his last 3 outings.
Pick 3: Brandon Lowe to hit a HR --- (+303, DraftKings)
Brandon Lowe
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Matchup vs Spencer Strider (Braves), Truist Park, 4:10 PM EST
Brandon Lowe rounds out my list, coming in at my third favorite home run on the June 6 slate. Brandon Lowe has been an absolute incredible acquisition for the Pirates this season, posting video-game like numbers, especially against the heater. This is where the matchup comes into play. Strider throws his Four-Seamer at an incredibly high clip, nearly 50% of the time, going just over 50% in his last start. Due to this, Strider gives up a massive amount of home runs to lefties, posting a 2.45 HR/9.
Anytime I see a pitcher throw a volatile pitch, I look for the best hitter on the opposing team, and Lowe fits the bill perfectly, posting a 41.9% season barrel against the heater, along with a 29% pull barrel.
