Best MLB Home Run Props Today HR Picks for Saturday, August 8
I went through all 15 games on Saturday, August 8th to find the best home run matchups so you don't have to. Using PropFinder's data tools, I've identified a combination of vulnerable pitchers, strong hitter splits, and ballpark factors. Below are my top three MLB home run props and best home run picks for today's slate.
Jordan Walker to hit a HR --- (+300, Hard Rock)
Jordan Walker
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Kyle Freeland is a soft-tossing lefty who gets punished by right-handed power, and the numbers back it up. His four-seam has already surrendered a .769 slug and nine home runs, and his knuckle curve a .622 slug with five more. His home run risk versus righties grades high. Walker has torched him, slugging .732 with a .357 iso, a 97.1 mph average exit velocity, and a 63.6% hard-hit rate in their sample. Walker's own power is trending up, sitting at a 96.8 mph exit velocity and a 25.9% barrel rate on the season. A homer-prone lefty against a right-handed slugger who already owns him is a clean spot.

Bryce Harper to hit a HR --- (+350, Kalshi)
Bryce Harper
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Max Scherzer at this stage leans on a four-seam fastball nearly half the time, and it is getting demolished for a 1.000 slug and three home runs already, with his slider adding a .636 slug. His home run risk versus lefties is one of the highest on the board. Harper has owned him for years. In their career head to head he is slugging .808 with a .538 iso and four home runs off Scherzer, and his batted-ball history against him is full of no-doubt shots. A homer-prone fastball, an elite left-handed bat with a long track record, and a hitter's park at Citizens Bank. This is the play I trust most.

Jake Bauers to hit a HR --- (+375, Hard Rock)
Jake Bauers
Over 0.5 Player Home Runs
Taj Bradley works off a four-seam fastball that has been very hittable, allowing a .500 slug with a 35% barrel rate and a 64.7% hard-hit rate against it. His home run risk versus lefties grades favorable for the hitter. Bauers has handled Bradley's mix, slugging .543 with a 94.7 mph exit velocity and a 62.3% hard-hit rate, and he has the platoon edge as a lefty. Bauers is a low-average bat but a real air-power threat, and at plus money against a fastball that gets barreled, the price is right.
