Best MLB Home Run Props Today HR Picks for Thursday, July 30

Jake Casso·July 30, 2026 at 7:04 AM UTC·Updated August 6, 2026 at 7:19 PM UTC·4 min read

I went through all 10 games on Thursday, July 30th to find the best home run matchups so you don't have to. Using PropFinder's data tools, I've identified a combination of vulnerable pitchers, strong hitter splits, favorable weather, and ballpark factors. Below are my top three MLB home run props and best home run picks for today's slate.

James Wood to hit a HR --- (+265, Kalshi)

PLAYER HOME RUNSWSHWSH@ATLATL· Jul 30, 7:15 PM ET
James Wood

James Wood

Over 0.5 Player Home Runs

KalshiBet now+265

Matchup vs. Grant Holmes (Atlanta Braves), Truist Park, 7:15 PM ET

James Wood is the safest bat on the board, and it starts with what Grant Holmes gives up to left-handed hitters. Holmes leans on his slider (33% usage) and four-seam (32%) against lefties, and they have punished him for a .396 SLG, a 46.9% hard-hit rate, an 18.0% HR-to-fly-ball rate, and 9 home runs allowed at a 1.46 HR/9. Wood is built to make that hurt. On the pitches Holmes actually throws, Wood is carrying a .899 SLG this season with a 30.7% barrel rate, 64.0% hard contact, a 98.0 mph average exit velocity, and 31 balls hit 300-plus feet with 23 of them clearing 350. Over his last 15 batted balls he is up at a 99.1 average exit velocity and a 33.3% barrel rate, and he just launched a slider 417 feet. Truist Park is not a bandbox, so this comes down to the bat against the matchup, and at the shortest price on the card it is the cleanest swing of the three.

Esmerlyn Valdez to hit a HR --- (+385, DraftKings)

PLAYER HOME RUNSPITPIT@CINCIN· Jul 30, 7:10 PM ET
Esmerlyn Valdez

Esmerlyn Valdez

Over 0.5 Player Home Runs

Matchup vs. Rhett Lowder (Cincinnati Reds), Great American Ball Park, 7:10 PM ET

The middle leg swings to the other side of the plate and the best home run park on the slate. Rhett Lowder works almost entirely off his sinker and slider, throwing them 57% and 43% of the time in this matchup, and the zones he lives in line up with exactly where Esmerlyn Valdez does his damage. Three of Valdez's hottest power zones fall inside Lowder's seven most-used locations, including a down-and-in area and a middle-of-the-plate zone where Valdez grades at the very top of the scale. On that same sinker-slider mix over the last 90 days, everything Valdez puts in play stays in the air, and better than half of it goes for extra bases, a 28.6% home run rate and a 28.6% double rate with the barrels carrying to right-center. Now drop it into Great American Ball Park, one of the friendliest home run yards in baseball. A right-handed bat this locked in on a sinker-slider arm he already punishes, in a park that plays up, is the middle-of-the-card value.

Kody Clemens to hit a HR --- (+355, Betano)

PLAYER HOME RUNSKCKC@MINMIN· Jul 30, 1:40 PM ET
Kody Clemens

Kody Clemens

Over 0.5 Player Home Runs

BetanoBet now+355

Matchup vs. Noah Cameron (Kansas City Royals), Target Field, 1:40 PM ET

The longest price of the three is also the most contrarian, because it is a left-handed bat against a left-handed pitcher, the kind of spot most people scroll right past. They should not here. Noah Cameron's two most-used pitches to lefties both get hit hard: his slider (22.8% usage) has been tagged for a .654 SLG with a 27.3% barrel rate and 40.9% hard contact, and his four-seam (26.5%) sits at a .632 SLG with an 18.8% barrel rate, both on the season. Kody Clemens is a pull-and-lift lefty who fits that profile. Over his last 15 batted balls he is running a 46.7% pull-air rate and pulling 66.7% of his contact with a 28.6% HR-to-fly-ball rate, 2 home runs and 2 near-misses, and a recent 107.6 mph line drive in the mix. Target Field plays roughly neutral for power, so this is purely the bat against a lefty whose best pitches keep getting lifted, and at the longest number on the card it is the high-upside shot to round out the parlay.
